It's A Date

Psalms 147:3  He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds

Hello and welcome  to One Breath from Heaven. If you're new here, I'm so glad you stopped by. I began this site as a way to reach out to the newly grieving parents and those further along in the journey. But anyone can participate.

Most of us have an appointment book or a calendar on the wall in our kitchen and office. Modern technology also makes it simple with the touch of a button.

We make a note of a date because it of its importance.

Birthdays are the most fun. So are wedding anniversaries. Both are joyful reminders that someone very important is a part of our lives.

But there's more to the story.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 makes it clear there is a time for everything including a time to be born and a time to die. Yet we're often surprised  when we hear of someone's passing. In the death of a child no matter what age, it's too much to comprehend. It isn't supposed to happen this way.

But it does.

There is something important to remember for those of us on this journey. (and those that are not).

We each have an appointed time. We'll join with our loved ones. What a day that will be. And then we'll also wait in anticipation of those that follow after us.

My son Donnie was welcomed into the presence of the Lord several years ago.  He began his new birthday the moment he left this earth. And this is a day worth remembering. A day worth celebrating.

Happy New Birthday Donnie.  Love, Mom
